Description

A well-established firm is seeking a full-time Junior Interior Designer to join our team.

Our studio is located in downtown Manhattan Beach, and we are considering local applicants who are able to work in the office full-time, in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Principal Designer and Sr. Designer to manage multiple high-end residential projects, including furnishings, renovations, and multi-million-dollar ground-up homes, from concept through completion
  • Design development: create tearsheets, mood boards, design presentations (Google Slides, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Produce drawings: floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, RCPs, cabinetry (AutoCAD)
  • Create finish, lighting, and plumbing schedules
  • Communicate with vendors on product details, pricing, and availability
  • Procurement: create budgets and proposals, purchase orders, track and pay all invoices (Studio Designer)
  • Place and track orders, organize and maintain project status sheets
  • Coordinate logistics with the receiving warehouse, track shipments, resolve damages
  • Project management: keep projects on schedule through consistent vendor coordination and advance planning
  • Attend site visits and take detailed notes, create punch lists and meeting notes
  • Installation, accessorizing, styling

Requirements:

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Slides, Photoshop, Studio Designer
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Interior design education
  • Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursable
