Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Production Coordinator to join our dynamic team at an exciting outerwear company. As an Assistant Production Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team throughout the entire manufacturing process. Your primary focus will be to ensure smooth operations, facilitate effective communication, and maintain efficient coordination between various departments involved in the production cycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Production Activities: Assist in coordinating all aspects of the production process, including material sourcing, sampling, manufacturing, and shipping, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
2. Communication Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between different departments, such as design, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, ensuring effective and timely communication to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production-related issues.
3. Production Planning: Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain detailed production plans, schedules, and workflow charts, ensuring proper allocation of resources and optimal production efficiency.
4. Supplier Management: Assist in managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, monitoring quality standards, and proactively addressing any issues or concerns.
5. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any production-related quality issues.
6. Data and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, update databases, and generate reports, providing valuable insights and analysis to improve production processes.
7. Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to identifying areas for process improvement, proposing innovative solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance overall production efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Prior Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a production coordination or related role within the apparel or outerwear industry is preferred.
2. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
3. Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and coordination across various departments and external stakeholders.
4. Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality control throughout the production process.
