Job Summary
Based on Orbis’s development objectives and communications plan, the incumbent mainly identifies diverse school and community groups, design and implement engagement activities that involve related stakeholders. He/she will also be responsible for school fundraising.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a “school and community opener” to expand Orbis engagement activities.
- Develop, organize, communicate, and implement school and community projects. Flexibly deploy and undertake a range of mechanisms such as Orbis eyecare talks/blindfold workshops/eye screening/hall exhibitions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Creative use of promotion tools to reach out target groups and generate positive engagements.
- Solicit new and current “School and Community Partners” to build long term trust and relationship.
- Manage and fulfill assigned Orbis school fundraising campaigns.
- Work in partnership with other development teams to ensure efficient management of Orbis’s fundraising campaigns and communications initiatives.
- Assist Director, Communications and Communications Manager to develop different communications material and related media events.
- Provide team support and ad hoc communications work when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree majoring in language, communications, or media-related field.
- 3~5 years’ experience in PR, event management and/or agency related field.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
- Quick in thinking and response, proactive and creative
- Cheerful in personally and happy to turn strangers into friends
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines
- Knowledge of MS office applications, Photoshop. Ability to use AI is a plus
