Korn Ferry has partnered with a well-established NKY distribution company in search of an experienced Senior Accountant to function as a key member of their corporate accounting team.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process, solving problems, improving workflows, and serving as a trusted member of a collaborative accounting team.

Position Summary

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial reporting and accounting processes. You'll take ownership of general ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end close, and analysis while partnering with leaders across the organization.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being a dependable, go-to member of the accounting team, thrives in a hands-on environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, timely financial information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CPA-track candidate preferred.
  • Public accounting background is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, transportation, or similar industries.
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
  • Experience with consolidations, fixed assets, treasury, tax reporting, sales and use tax, or ERP implementations.
