Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales Enablement CoE team at Mercer. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Specialist – Research

Sales Enablement CoE supports Mercer’s global businesses and Executive Leadership Offices by driving growth and operations through research, reporting, and ad hoc support. The team facilitates global account management, business development, growth planning, project delivery, and other key initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders, including Global Client Managers, Project/Program Managers, advisory leadership, and Executive Leadership Office leaders.

This role is responsible for delivering market intelligence via secondary research, providing analytical and reporting support for client management and business development.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide secondary research, reporting and analytical work to support client management and delivery of client projects
  • Produce research deliverables by identifying appropriate sources; collecting, analyzing, and synthetizing information; drawing insights and conclusions
  • Provide market intelligence services to both internal as well as external stakeholders on topics including client profilers, industry overview decks, strategic benchmarking etc.
  • Experience in financial management and market intelligence frameworks
  • Produce reporting deliverables (e.g. on client relationships and revenue performance) by collating, analyzing and presenting internal information (typically sourced from financial reporting and CRM systems)
  • Should have decent understanding of AI tools and technologies

What you need to have:

  • Post Graduate degree in finance, business, economics, statistics, commerce, or similar degree (preference for an analytics-based degree)
  • 3-5 years of overall experience in secondary research/consulting
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written along with Business writing/report writing/Storyboarding
  • Good analytical skills, good with numbers, critical thinking, attention to detail and web research
  • Advanced MS Office: MS Word, Excel and Power Point, including ability to produce visually effective presentations
  • Experience and knowledge of research tools\platforms such as D&B Hoovers, S&P, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Statista, Capital IQ, Moody’s, Pitchbook, Factiva, McKinsey & Company, PwC, Deloitte Reports, Mergermarkets, Thomson One etc.
  • Proven analytical skills in analyzing public datasets/surveys, company financial reports and websites, articles, speeches, social media posts quantitatively or qualitatively to identify patterns
  • Ability to manage stakeholder communications
  • Enhance research output using AI/Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity
