Role Overview
The Medical Affairs Lead, North America strengthens seca’s clinical credibility and evidence-based medical positioning across the region. The position serves as a bidirectional interface between North America and Global Medical & Clinical Affairs at Headquarters, translating clinical needs, market insights, and KOL perspectives into actionable input while ensuring alignment with global medical standards and evidence-based claims. The role combines strategic medical leadership with hands-on execution across KOL engagement, clinical partnerships, medical education, and market intelligence.
What You'll Do:
Medical Strategy, Evidence & Positioning
- Translate North American clinical needs, evidence requirements, market insights, and KOL perspectives into actionable input for Global Medical & Clinical Affairs and product strategy.
- Evaluate scientific literature, guidelines, real-world evidence, competitor claims, and market developments to support compliant medical positioning, assess medical claims and evidence gaps, and identify areas requiring additional clinical substantiation.
- Strengthen seca’s clinical differentiation by advancing the role of body composition as a relevant health parameter beyond weight and BMI.
KOL Engagement & External Medical Leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, clinical experts, professional societies, and strategic stakeholders across obesity care, diabetes, cardiometabolic health, nutrition, preventive health, medical fitness, and longevity.
- Lead advisory boards, expert roundtables, webinars, and professional education initiatives, translating expert insights into recommendations for seca and Headquarters.
- Represent seca at congresses, conferences, customer events, and professional forums as a credible Medical Affairs voice.
Medical Education, Clinical Partnerships & Market Intelligence
- Enable internal teams and partners with evidence-based messaging, clinical resources, medically accurate communication, clinical use-case guidance, objection handling, and competitive positioning support.
- Lead selected clinical projects with healthcare systems, clinics, medical fitness organizations, and strategic partners, generating evidence assets such as case studies, publications, webinars, and educational content.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based educational and thought-leadership content, including congress presentations, speaker materials, professional education programs, and scientific communications that strengthen seca’s clinical credibility and market positioning.
- Monitor North American healthcare trends, clinical guidelines, reimbursement developments, competitor positioning, and emerging areas such as GLP-1 therapy and digital health.
- Translate market intelligence and clinical insights into structured recommendations for Global Medical & Clinical Affairs.
What You Bring:
The ideal candidate combines clinical credibility, scientific expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate evidence into meaningful clinical and market applications.
- Degree in medicine, life sciences, nutrition, exercise science, public health, clinical research, or a related field; advanced clinical or scientific degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of body composition and its clinical relevance, with familiarity in obesity care, diabetes, cardiometabolic health, preventive health, medical fitness, or related fields.
- Experience in medical affairs, clinical education/research, healthcare, medtech, diagnostics, digital health, nutrition, or related areas.
- Experience engaging with physicians, Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare systems, professional societies, or strategic partners.
- Strong ability to communicate scientific evidence clearly and credibly across clinical, professional, and business audiences.
- Experience managing clinical projects, external collaborations, and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and apply sound judgment regarding evidence, claims, compliance, and medical communication.
