Role Summary:

The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will be responsible for driving overall business growth, revenue strategy, and market expansion across both retail and group sales channels. This role requires a strategic leader with strong experience in scaling businesses, managing P&L, and building high-performing sales teams across diverse customer segments.

Location: Bangalore

Experience

  • 12–18+ years of experience in business leadership roles
  • Strong exposure to both Retail Sales (B2C) and Group/Corporate Sales (B2B)

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Insurance / Healthcare / BFSI / Consumer Services

Education

  • MBA or equivalent from a reputed institution preferred

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute short-term and long-term business growth strategies
  • Identify new market opportunities across retail and group segments
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability in alignment with organizational goals.

2. Retail Sales Leadership

  • Lead and scale retail sales channels (direct, digital, partnerships)
  • Optimize customer acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies
  • Enhance customer experience and brand positioning in the retail segments

3. Group/Corporate Sales Leadership

  • Drive group sales strategy including B2B, institutional, and corporate partnerships
  • Build and manage relationships with key enterprise clients and brokers.
  • Design customized solutions for large accounts and drive renewals

4. P&L Management

  • Own end-to-end P&L across business verticals
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing retail and group sales teams
  • Set clear KPIs, performance metrics, and incentive structures
  • Foster a performance-driven and collaborative culture

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams
  • Align go-to-market strategies and ensure seamless execution

7. Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with senior leadership, board members, and external partners
  • Present business updates, forecasts, and growth plans

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities
