The Regional Sales Manager develops and implements the sales strategy and regional sales plan to increase Agrifac’s market share through the development of existing and new markets. The role monitors market development, drives sales growth, and establishes strategic dealer partnerships to achieve commercial objectives. The Regional Sales Manager advises management on regional developments and required actions, maintains relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, manages up to six employees, and reports to the Managing Director.
Sales Strategy
- Develops and implements the regional sales strategy and country/region plan in line with the company’s overall sales strategy.
- Drives business processes within the region and ensures alignment with other disciplines across the organization.
- Prepares and manages budgets for sales activities, such as trade fairs and seminars.
- Participates in projects focused on sales process innovation.
Sales & Business Development
- Monitors market developments, identifies opportunities and threats, and takes appropriate action.
- Selects, evaluates, and develops dealers, ensuring compliance with internal requirements, and advises management on dealer suitability.
- Develops and executes dealer plans, including processes and KPIs.
- Maintains relationships with dealers, key accounts, and end customers, following up on leads and addressing market trends and changes.
- Acts as the primary internal contact for dealer-related issues, coordinating with relevant departments.
- Evaluates dealer performance and implements improvement measures or corrective actions where needed.
- Reports dealer performance and commercial results to the Managing Director.
- Translates strategic objectives into tactical plans, including prioritization, investment forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Achieves commercial targets, increases market share, secures strategically important orders, and supports negotiations, commercial agreements, and contract execution within established frameworks.
Information Management
- Prepares, analyzes, and presents sales reports.
- Ensures accurate recording of commercial activities and progress.
Leadership & Organization
- Leads and develops the regional sales team.
- Establishes effective departmental processes, procedures, and structures to achieve objectives.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and capabilities.
- Monitors performance and workload, adjusting where necessary.
- Supports employee development through coaching, performance reviews, and assessments.
- Promotes effective communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork.
Continuous Improvement
- Identifies and drives improvements in processes, procedures, and services.
- Translate market and operational developments into improvement initiatives and projects.
- Leads cross-functional improvement projects and ensures implementation of agreed actions.
- Encourages employees to contribute improvement ideas and supports their realization.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of agricultural sales experience.
- Experience working directly with producers, dealers, cooperatives, or agricultural retailers is preferred.
- Industry certifications or specialized agronomic training are often valued.
- Strong understanding of crop production agricultural equipment.
