We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at De Montford Veterinary Hospital on a full-time basis.

De Montford Veterinary Hospital is a supportive and busy practice where our nursing team plays a vital role in delivering high standards of patient and client care. This is a varied opportunity for an RVN who enjoys being involved across all areas of the clinical day, including inpatient care, theatre, admissions, nurse consultations and patient monitoring.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong focus on clinical standards, teamwork and patient wellbeing. As a nurse training practice, we are also passionate about supporting the development of future veterinary nurses, with opportunities to contribute to student support, supervision and mentoring.

Practice Highlights

• Varied nursing role across inpatient care, theatre, admissions and nurse consultations
• Opportunity to support surgical workflow, including IV catheter placement, pre-operative blood tests and patient monitoring
• Nurse-led services including Safari consultations and wellness screens
• Nurse training practice supporting apprentice nurses and degree-placement students

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Full-time role with early and late shifts on a rota basis between 8:30am-7:30pm
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
• No out-of-hours requirements

General Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
• Support inpatient care, including patient monitoring and recovery
• Assist with admissions, IV catheter placement and pre-operative blood tests
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
