Senior Manager, Retail Media Sales North America

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Retail Media Sales leads North American retail media sales strategy and execution within the convenience and fuel ecosystem. This role owns revenue growth through the development of high-impact, full-funnel media partnerships with CPG brands, agencies, and emerging advertisers. The Senior Manager is accountable for commercial performance, strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and the continuous evolution of the retail media offering across onsite, offsite, and in-store channels.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in retail media monetization and a strong understanding of convenience retail dynamics, including speed of purchase, proximity, daypart relevance, and trip-based shopper behavior.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Own annual and long-range retail media revenue targets, driving consistent growth through strategic brand and agency partnerships.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, solution design, pricing strategy, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Position and sell full-funnel media solutions that influence high-frequency, impulse-driven shopper engagement across digital and physical touchpoints.

Retail Media Strategy & Innovation

  • Define and evolve the retail media sales strategy to align advertiser objectives with shopper behavior and business priorities.
  • Identify emerging media trends, technologies, and data capabilities to enhance the effectiveness and differentiation of the retail media offering.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop new products, sponsorships, and integrated media solutions that scale profitably.

Campaign Execution & Performance Management

  • Oversee media execution in collaboration with planning team to ensure full campaign life cycle, from concept to post-campaign analysis.
  • Ensure ongoing optimization of media programs to maximize advertiser outcomes and internal revenue objectives.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a senior liaison across Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Analytics, and external partners.
  • Lead internal and external business reviews with clear data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.

Team & Professional Leadership

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and subject-matter expertise within the retail media sales organization.
  • Support talent development aligned to company goals and financial targets.
  • Maintain industry knowledge through professional development, conferences, and networks.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in media sales, retail media, digital advertising, or related fields.
  • Proven track record exceeding revenue targets and closing complex partnerships.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills.
