Ready to take ownership of end-to-end AP processes and play a key role in a busy Life Sciences manufacturing business?

R&D Partners is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic finance team within a Life Sciences manufacturing plant. This role is heavily focused on accounts payable (AP) and involves working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. You will support three legal entities and play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured setting and enjoys working within established processes. This is a fully on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage mid-month and month-end payment runs.
  • Handle prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations of creditor accounts.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including vendor information and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with cash flow generation and monthly management accounts.
  • Respond to external auditor and ad-hoc queries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the team during a tight 4-day month-end close process.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts payable.
  • Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with JD Edwards or SAP is a plus. Experience with Oracle, NetSuite etc is also sufficient.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Accounting qualifications or relevant experience preferred.

Employment Conditions:

  • Fully onsite role with no remote work option.
  • Must be available to work on bank holidays due to month-end requirements (time off in lieu provided).

Standard working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Additional hours may be required during month-end.
  • Must have full rights to work in Ireland.
