Director, AI Solutions & Delivery

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of AI Solutions & Delivery to lead enterprise AI strategy and execution across a global organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for identifying high-value AI opportunities, building an enterprise AI roadmap, establishing governance, and leading the delivery of scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
This position is ideal for a strategic technology leader who has successfully partnered with executive leadership to translate business objectives into enterprise AI initiatives. Experience within a global manufacturing or industrial organization is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise AI strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Establish and manage an enterprise AI intake, evaluation, and prioritization process.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation and automation.
- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions.
- Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, vendors, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Establish governance, architecture standards, and best practices for Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Lead cross-functional teams including AI Engineers, Solution Architects, and AI Platform Administrators.
- Ensure AI initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Information Security, Legal, and business stakeholders to establish responsible AI practices and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Define KPIs to measure AI adoption, business value, productivity improvements, and return on investment.
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies and recommend future capabilities that support long-term business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in enterprise IT, digital transformation, solution delivery, or architecture.
- Experience developing and executing enterprise AI or digital transformation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience managing AI portfolios, investment roadmaps, and executive-level prioritization.
- Strong background translating business strategy into scalable technology solutions.
- Experience leading enterprise solution architecture and delivery organizations.
- Hands-on knowledge of Generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), enterprise integrations, APIs, identity management, and AI governance.
- Familiarity with AI concepts including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, embeddings, AI security, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and modern AI delivery methodologies.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or other global enterprise environment is strongly preferred.
