The PMO Portfolio & Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that the bank’s strategy is effectively translated into strategic initiatives and projects across the organization. The role oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects using best-practice project management methodologies to ensure delivery within the agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Translate the bank’s strategy into strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic KPIs.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within assigned portfolios, ensuring delivery within approved scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage project portfolios and strategic programs, ensuring effective coordination of multiple projects contributing to business and operational objectives.
Monitor portfolio performance and financials, ensuring initiatives are delivered within approved budgets and Capex frameworks.
Lead portfolio prioritization and roadmap planning, ensuring initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities and resources are efficiently allocated.
Manage risks, issues, and change management processes, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and effective mitigation strategies.
Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project implementation and resource availability.
Support demand management processes, including developing business cases, assessing feasibility, and ensuring initiatives deliver measurable ROI.
Lead and develop the PMO team, providing coaching, performance management, and capability development to ensure effective project delivery.
Monitor project outcomes and benefits realization, ensuring proper documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of PMO practices.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
11 to 15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or large organizations.
Proven experience in project, program, or portfolio management, preferably within a PMO environment.
Preferred Professional Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 Practitioner.
