𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆

The Senior Electrical Professional Engineer (P.E.) will serve as a key technical leader responsible for reviewing, approving, and sealing electrical engineering designs for renewable energy projects. This role requires a licensed engineer with extensive experience in electrical power systems and renewable energy, capable of serving as the Engineer of Record (EOR) while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, utility requirements, and state regulations.

Candidates holding multiple active Professional Engineer licenses across the United States will be strongly preferred.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Review, approve, and professionally seal electrical engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and design packages.

• Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for solar PV, BESS, EV charging, and other electrical infrastructure projects.

• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC, IBC, IFC, utility interconnection requirements, and applicable state regulations.

• Review single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, protection schemes, grounding layouts, cable schedules, equipment layouts, and electrical calculations.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams throughout project development and execution.

• Support utility interconnection studies and respond to AHJ, utility, and permitting comments.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, utilities, EPC contractors, and permitting agencies.

• Mentor junior and mid-level electrical engineers.

• Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.

• Support engineering standardization and continuous process improvement.

• Assist in obtaining additional state licenses through comity as business needs evolve.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

• $120k - $140k

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is essential.

• Additional qualifications or specialized knowledge related to renewable energy would be beneficial for excelling in this role.

• Enthusiasm for new technologies and continuous learning.

• Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructure.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy industry.

Psychosocial Skills /Human Skills/Behavioral Skills

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Project Management experience a plus.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.

• Technical understanding of clean energy business processes

• Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.

• Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

• Excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
