Position Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to support sourcing and procurement activities for utility-scale solar and BESS projects across global market. The role involves vendor identification, supplier qualification, RFQ/RFP management, commercial evaluation, and coordination with internal engineering and estimation teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers for solar PV, BESS, electrical, civil, and balance-of-system equipment.
  • Maintain and update the vendor database with supplier information, certifications, and compliance documents.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to qualified vendors and manage the complete bidding process.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations, technical documents, lead times, and commercial clarifications.
  • Perform commercial bid evaluations and prepare comparison sheets.
  • Follow up with vendors for pricing, technical queries, and documentation.
  • Support FEOC, domestic content, and supplier compliance documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, and Project teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.
  • Maintain procurement records, vendor communications, and project documentation.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills and Experience

Software Proficiency:

  • Understanding of AutoCAD
  • MS Office
  • Strong knowledge in procurement documentation
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Renewable Energy Systems:

  • 2–5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in the renewable energy or EPC industry.
  • Experience with solar PV, BESS, or electrical equipment procurement is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple RFQs and vendor interactions simultaneously.
