Role Description The Junior Java Developer role is a full-time remote position focused on developing and maintaining Java-based applications under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and testing clean, efficient code, assisting in the design and implementation of microservices, and supporting integration with existing systems using the Spring Framework. The role involves participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements. The Junior Java Developer will also contribute to documentation, follow established development processes, and continuously learn new tools and technologies to improve software quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Foundational skills in Programming and Java, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code, (0-3) years.
• Knowledge of Software Development principles, including object-oriented design and version control practices.
• Exposure to Microservices architecture and an understanding of how distributed systems are designed and deployed.
• Experience or coursework with Spring Framework or similar Java frameworks for building enterprise applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in remote, agile development teams.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, basic SQL, and unit testing frameworks is beneficial.
