Social Media & Marketing Intern - Fall 2026 (Paid)

This is a 4-month part-time paid internship opportunity (~10-15 hours/week) from September to December 2026, reporting to our Social Media Manager. You will be working collaboratively with the team to create high-quality, creative and original video and photo content for our social media channels.

We are looking for a self-starter who lives and breathes social media and is passionate about making great content. You'll work at the intersection of content creation and digital marketing technology, using data from social and e-commerce analytics platforms to inform creative decisions. We are looking for someone who can come up with ideas and execute tasks independently. We're a remote-first company based in Toronto with team members across Ontario. Nothing is above or below anyone here, and you'll have real ownership on your work from day one.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Content & platforms

• Develop original video content ideas for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook
• Film and edit UGC-style video and photo content using industry-standard editing tools
• Curate and schedule content across channels using our social content calendar and scheduling tools
• Track platform trend cycles (Reels, TikTok) and propose tests for emerging platforms/formats

Digital marketing technology

• Use social and web analytics dashboards to evaluate content performance and inform what we create next
• Support the Social Media Manager on community engagement, partnership outreach, and audience research
• Develop and write blog content for "The Thread," including keyword/SEO research to support discoverability

WHO YOU ARE:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian college/university program
• You live & breathe social media and love connecting with people online
• You’re comfortable being behind and in front of the camera
• You’re witty, clever and love a good meme or pop-culture reference
• A strong photo and video editor
• Detail-oriented and grammar obsessed
• Extensive experience with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, comfortable working independently in a remote-first team
