Company Description Baltic Bees Jet Team is a civilian jet aerobatic team based in Latvia, operating a fleet of L-39 Albatros aircraft for international airshows across Europe. The team is known for formation flying, synchronized manoeuvres, and solo performances that showcase high technical precision and strong visual impact. Every display reflects rigorous discipline, coordination, and advanced aviation expertise. In addition to airshows, Baltic Bees provides jet flight experiences for individuals, corporate clients, and partners seeking distinctive aviation events. Operating from Jūrmala Airport near Riga, the team works closely with event organizers and international partners on both large public shows and exclusive private engagements.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professional Pilot role based in Latvia with the Baltic Bees Jet Team. The Professional Pilot will operate L-39 Albatros aircraft in aerobatic formations, synchronized manoeuvres, and solo displays during rehearsals and public performances. Daily responsibilities include flight planning, briefing and debriefing with the team, strict adherence to safety protocols, and participation in regular training to maintain performance and proficiency standards. The role also involves collaborating with ground crew, supporting jet flight experience operations for clients, representing the team at events, and engaging professionally with organizers, partners, and media when required.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial or equivalent pilot license with jet rating, and substantial experience in high-performance aircraft operations.
  • Demonstrated skills in formation flying, aerobatic manoeuvres, and precision handling under varied weather and performance conditions.
  • Strong situational awareness, risk management capabilities, and strict commitment to aviation safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work within a highly coordinated team environment, with clear communication and disciplined execution during briefings and flights.
  • Experience in airshow or display flying, or specialized military/jet training, is highly beneficial.
  • Good physical fitness, resilience under high workload and G-forces, and readiness to participate in regular training and evaluations.
  • Professional conduct when interacting with clients, event organizers, and media; comfort representing the team in public settings.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Latvian or other European languages is an advantage.
