We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Research Analyst Intern to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about research, innovation, public policy, technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

Role Overview

As a Research Analyst Intern, you will support Forge4Africa by identifying emerging trends, conducting research, analyzing data, and producing reports that inform our programs, partnerships, and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, climate action, education, and public policy.
  • Identify scholarships, grants, fellowships, competitions, and funding opportunities relevant to African youth.
  • Research organizations, companies, governments, and institutions for potential partnerships.
  • Analyze industry trends and prepare research briefs and reports.
  • Gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Support proposal writing, presentations, and strategic documents.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, innovation ecosystems, and startup trends across Africa.
  • Assist with impact measurement and program evaluation.
  • Present research findings to internal teams when required.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an advantage).
  • Strong internet research and information synthesis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Passion for youth development, innovation, and Africa's growth.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience conducting academic or market research.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex information.
  • Familiarity with AI research tools and productivity platforms.
  • Basic data analysis and visualization skills are an advantage.
