Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Reports to/Backed up by: Corp. Dir of FSQA

Wage: Salaried Exempt

Job Overview: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and enforcing product safety and quality compliance at the manufacturing facility. This role assures the quality and food safety programs and in-plant practices are alignment with corporate standards and BRCGS requirements. The QA Supervisor partners closely with Corporate Quality Assurance, ensuring consistent implementation of company programs while supporting plant-specific needs. The position drives continuous improvement and fosters a strong food safety culture across the facility.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Supports the oversight activities related to product safety, regulatory, and quality systems at the

facility.

· Supervise and assist with training the site QA staff.

· Maintain and ensure compliance with the site BRCGS Manual and corporate food safety standard, and

provide cross-departmental technical guidance and support.

· Assists with updating, implementing and enforcing food safety and quality programs (BRCGS, HACCP,

EMP, allergen control, supplier approval, test-and-hold program, etc.) applicable to the operation.

· Monitor plant compliance with internal and external standards, customer requirements, and corporate

expectations.

· Assist with new product specifications, procedures, and QA documentation that meet customer

expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

· Serve as the primary liaison between the site and Corporate QA, ensuring alignment with company

policies, initiatives, and reporting requirements.

· Stay current on regulatory updates and ensure site compliance with applicable FDA regulations and

GFSI standards.

· Track, trend, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, food safety, customer

complaints, and non-conformances.

· Conduct gap analysis, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions based on data, audits, and

deviations.

· Drive continuous improvement, optimization initiatives and support implementation of corporate

quality programs at the site level.

· Assists with internal, customer, and third-party audits, including BRCGS certification audits.

· Promote a strong food safety culture across all departments through training, communication, and

leading by example.

· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

· BS in Food Science or related field required.

· 3+ years supervisory level experience.

· 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

· GFSI experience required.

· HACCP, PCQI certifications.

· Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety systems.

· Experience working within nutritional, IMS and customer platforms and software.

· Ability to pass National Background Check and Drug Screening.
