Developing and maintaining high-quality, secure Rust applications in an agile customer project for a major European energy company
Applying secure software development principles and secure coding practices throughout the entire development lifecycle
Integrating and operating security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA/dependency scanning (e.g. Black Duck) and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines
Analysing and remediating security findings, from dependency vulnerabilities to code-level issues
Advising stakeholders on security-related architecture and code decisions, and communicating complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences
Working closely with cross-functional teams as part of the ACX business unit
Your profile
Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with extensive, long-standing hands-on experience in Rust development
Solid understanding of secure software development principles and secure coding practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive, solution-oriented working style
Strong communication skills and the ability to advise stakeholders on security-related topics
Nice to have: experience with DAST and SAST tooling, Black Duck or comparable SCA/dependency scanning tools, and secret scanning tools and practices (e.g. GitLeaks, TruffleHog, GitHub Secret Scanning)
