We are partnering with a leading international agribusiness trading company to recruit an experienced Freight Trader.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic trading environment and play a key role in managing and optimizing dry bulk freight activities across global agricultural trade flows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the commercial employment of dry bulk vessels across international agricultural trade flows.
- Negotiate charter parties and freight agreements with shipowners and brokers.
- Identify commercial opportunities to maximize vessel utilization and freight profitability.
- Monitor freight market trends and provide market intelligence.
- Work closely with Trading, Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize logistics and freight performance.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with shipowners, brokers and other market participants.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum 8–10+ years of experience within the agribusiness commodity trading industry.
- Strong background in physical dry bulk freight trading, chartering or vessel operations within the agribusiness sector.
- Solid understanding of agricultural commodity flows and international shipping.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the freight market.
- Fluent English. Additional languages are considered an asset.
