Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finishing Inspector/Slitting role based in Shelton, CT. The role involves operating slitting and finishing equipment to convert printed materials into finished rolls or products according to customer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and monitoring machines, inspecting materials for defects, verifying label counts and dimensions, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. The Finishing Inspector/Slitting team member will record production data, perform basic equipment adjustments, and coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve issues. The role also requires maintaining a clean and organized work area and following all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with production or manufacturing equipment operation, including basic machine setup and adjustment.
• Strong attention to detail, visual inspection skills, and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies in printed materials.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including using rulers, gauges, and scales to verify dimensions and quantities.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, job tickets, and safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance personnel.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and safely handle rolls or components.
• Previous experience in label, packaging, printing, or converting industry is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
