We are currently looking for a MES Specialist to join our manufacturing site in Romano di Lombardia (Italy). The MES Specialist supports the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems, acting as a key link between Production, Engineering, Automation, and IT. The role contributes to the plant's digital transformation by improving process visibility, traceability, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of MES solutions, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
- Provide training and operational support to production teams, promoting the effective use of MES tools and processes.
- Maintain MES master data, including product information, production parameters, quality controls, and user profiles.
- Manage Track & Trace activities and serve as the first point of contact for MES-related operational issues.
- Analyze production data, monitor KPIs, and support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Identify and drive digital improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering on Industry 4.0 and 5.0 projects, ensuring integration between MES, machinery, PLCs, and automation systems.
- Support manufacturing digitalization through enhanced traceability, real-time monitoring, and energy consumption analysis.
- Participate in the evaluation, testing, and commissioning of new production technologies and equipment.
- Coordinate external suppliers involved in MES, software development, and automation activities.
- Support system integration and troubleshooting to ensure accurate data flow and process visibility across manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Automation, Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, or equivalent) or an ITS Academy diploma in Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Digitalization, Information Technology, or related technical fields.
- Previous experience with MES, manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or similar roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of industrial digital systems and software development principles.
- Understanding of PLCs, industrial communication networks, and automation technologies is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
