Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Group Head – Finance & Strategy to provide strategic leadership across finance, treasury, governance, investments, and business strategy for a diversified multinational group. This leadership role requires a seasoned finance professional with the ability to drive strategic initiatives while ensuring disciplined execution, financial governance, capital efficiency, and operational excellence across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Treasury

  • Lead Group-level financial strategy, treasury operations, capital structure, and liquidity management.
  • Manage relationships with domestic and international banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and bilateral funding agencies.
  • Drive long-term and short-term fundraising initiatives across global markets.
  • Oversee capital allocation, financial planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
  • Ensure timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements and statutory reporting.

Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute corporate strategy.
  • Translate strategic objectives into measurable business plans across global operations.
  • Monitor execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery against approved milestones.
  • Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and risk assessments to support key management decisions.
  • Present high-quality strategic reports to executive leadership highlighting performance, risks, and corrective actions.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Strengthen corporate governance frameworks and internal financial controls.
  • Lead enterprise risk management across finance and operations.
  • Ensure tax planning, regulatory compliance, statutory reporting, and governance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee completion of internal audits, compliance reviews, and governance action plans.

Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead investor relations, shareholder communications, analyst interactions, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Support financial communications that strengthen market confidence and corporate reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, regulators, and strategic stakeholders.

Business Development & Corporate Growth

  • Evaluate strategic investments, mergers & acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
  • Support business development initiatives across domestic and international markets.
  • Develop innovative capital structures to support long-term growth objectives.

Digital Transformation & Process Excellence

  • Drive finance transformation through automation, digitalization, and process optimization.
  • Strengthen financial systems, reporting capabilities, and operational controls.
  • Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and scalable financial processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
  • MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute will be an added advantage.
  • 20–25 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, including at least 5 years in a Group leadership role.
  • Experience within a listed multinational organization with multi-country operations.
  • Strong exposure to treasury, corporate finance, strategic planning, governance, and investment management.
  • Demonstrated experience in raising funds through Indian banks, international banks, DFIs, and multilateral institutions.
  • Proven expertise in capital structuring, M&A, investment evaluation, and business expansion.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, enterprise risk management, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
