Role: Editor (Full-Time)

Salary: 3 to 5 LPA

Location: Hyderabad

Graduates from English, Mass Communication, or related fields preferred

Our Culture:

We're a young, fast-moving team that takes the work seriously without taking itself too seriously. If you care about craft, move fast, and want real ownership over what you produce, you'll feel right at home here.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Editor to join our content team and support the Senior Editor in producing high-quality application materials for students. This is a hands-on writing and editing role. You'll spend most of your time working on real student documents, refining drafts, and maintaining the content standards Gradvine is known for. The work is demanding and will require real dedication to craft and to the students you're supporting.

What You'll Do:

Review and edit statements of purpose, letters of recommendation, personal statements, resumes, and short-answer essays across disciplines and destination countries

Work closely with the Senior Editor to refine drafts, implement feedback, and take documents through multiple revision cycles

Conduct intake reviews of student profiles, resumes, academic backgrounds, and goals to identify strong narrative angles before writing begins

Write first drafts of application materials based on student inputs, under the Senior Editor's direction

Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and voice across a student's full application package

Flag weak spots in student narratives, including vague claims, missing context, and tone mismatches, and propose concrete fixes

Ensure all documents are free of grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, and formatting inconsistencies before they go to the Senior Editor for final review

Support the team on visa-related documentation and other written deliverables as needed

You are a great fit if you have:

Strong written English and an instinct for clean, precise prose; 1 to 3 years of writing or editing experience preferred but not essential

The ability to spot what's weak in a draft and know exactly how to fix it

Experience handling multiple student files simultaneously without losing track of individual voices and contexts

Comfort working under pressure and meeting tight, non-negotiable deadlines

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and basic Excel

A collaborative mindset and willingness to take feedback and act on it fast

Based in Hyderabad and willing to work from our office

Nice to Have:

Prior experience editing academic or professional documents such as SOPs, research papers, or reports

Exposure to international university admissions processes across the US, UK, Europe, Australia, or Canada

Familiarity with counseling or edtech environments

What You'll Get:

Competitive compensation based on experience

Help with your own master's application if you want us to

A front-row seat to how strong admissions narratives are built from scratch

Direct mentorship from the Senior Editor with structured on-the-job learning

Exposure to a wide range of student profiles, programs, and destination countries

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, self-driven, and genuinely invested in the outcome for each student.
