About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Haufe Group. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our cloud-based solutions, particularly within our flagship product, Lexware Office. As a key member of an agile, cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, business analysts, and fellow developers to design, develop, and enhance features that directly impact over 50,000 employers and their employees. Your work will ensure that our clients can effortlessly manage payroll, accounting, taxes, and financial processes with reliable and innovative software solutions. This position offers the flexibility of working from our office in Freiburg im Breisgau, or remotely from Leipzig or Berlin, promoting a healthy work-life balance and fostering creative collaboration.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience in developing and designing cloud-native applications, with a strong foundation in microservice architecture, database design, and RESTful APIs. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is essential, and familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, along with experience in AWS cloud services, is highly desirable. You should possess a genuine passion for high-quality software development, demonstrating a structured approach to work and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical domains. Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C2 level) are required, as well as a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies. Your ability to think from the customer’s perspective and deliver reliable, scalable solutions will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a senior member in an agile, cross-functional team consisting of Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analyst, UX Designer, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Extend and improve the Lexware Office codebase, ensuring it adapts to evolving business requirements through continuous development and refactoring.
  • Contribute constructively and critically to team discussions, helping to make informed decisions and achieve consensus on technical solutions.
  • Work independently to identify, plan, and implement robust and feasible technical features and enhancements.
  • Proactively address technical challenges or obstacles by taking initiative or collaborating with colleagues, emphasizing direct and efficient communication.
  • Engage in continuous learning by exploring new topics and integrating acquired knowledge into ongoing projects.
  • Ensure your code maintains high standards of quality, scalability, and maintainability, supporting the overall success of Lexware Office.
  • Participate in community exchanges and contribute to the ongoing development of our technical infrastructure.
