Manager – Commercial Real Estate Development

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Manager to lead our Commercial Real Estate Development in Bangladesh. Key responsibilities include identifying consumer trends, acquiring high-potential spaces and overseeing technical execution. The candidate must have deep expertise in navigating local regulatory frameworks and liaising with government bodies for infrastructure approvals. Experience in cold chain planning and industrial logistics is highly desirable to meet necessary client demands.

Market Research & Business Development

  • Research regional markets to identify unmet infrastructure demands in emerging commercial hubs.
  • Formulate strategic tenant mixes targeting corporate clients, retail chains and tech hubs.
  • Evaluate freehold land, joint-venture (JV) plots and commercial zones for high footfall.

Technical Development & Regulatory Compliance

  • Oversee structural layout planning to ensure spaces meet immediate fit-out readiness.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants and contractors for seamless integration.
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, basic HVAC/refrigeration and layouts.
  • Secure regulatory approvals including construction permits, occupancy certificates, and fire safety clearances.
  • Liaise actively with key bodies including RAJUK, CDA, RDA, DOE and City Corporations.
  • Manage end-to-end liaison with DESCO, DPDC, WASA and TITAS for industrial utility connections.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or BBA with MBA from any reputed public or private university.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in Bangladesh's commercial real estate or top-tier construction sector.
  • Strong command over the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and local zoning laws.
  • Proficiency in structural layout evaluation, MEP coordination and industrial refrigeration concepts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong negotiation skills for JV deals and excellent local stakeholder management.
