As a Toolroom Technician, you will be responsible for

  • Disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling molds with guidance from a Tool Maker as needed.
  • Performing simple machining operations based on individual skill level and experience.
  • Maintaining the mold vault, including cleaning and organization.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and changing washer units and coolant tanks.
  • Performing preventive maintenance activities within molding rooms.
  • Completing pin changes and complex mold conversions on multi-cavity tooling, both in the press and within the Tool Room.
  • Participating in machine maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and performance.
  • Conducting basic electrical troubleshooting of hot runner systems and hot runner controllers.
  • Performing hydraulic cylinder maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment through general housekeeping practices.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Who We are Looking For

Education

  • Highschool Diploma/GED
  • Mechanical and Math ability as demonstrated by test

Experience

  • Physical ability to perform activity in the Tool Room.

Skills

  • Perform simple machining, per individual's capabilities.
  • Regain molds, per individual capabilities.

Non-mandatory job qualifications

  • Blueprint knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of Tool Room machines and equipment.
  • Prior experience in a tooling atmosphere
  • Required to participate in a machine maintenance program
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting of Hot Runners and Hot Runner Controllers
