Aptar is seeking a Production Supervisor based in Mukwonago, WI (onsite).
This role is accountable for Molding Room results related to safety, production outcomes/efficiencies, processing, and adherence to relevant procedures, quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and personnel activities across day and night shifts.
As a Production Supervisor, You Will
- Ensure compliance with the quality plan for all parts manufactured in the molding room.
- Supervise shift supervisors and coordinate daily operations with a focus on:
- Safety
- Production deadlines
- Productivity goals
- Prioritization of shift activities
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including KPI tracking and shift reporting.
- Maintain required staffing levels and ensure employees receive appropriate training in accordance with company policies.
- Lead shift meetings that are motivating, goal-oriented, and focused on operational success.
- Oversee all safety activities, including monitoring work practices, correcting unsafe conditions, and conducting accident/near-miss investigations.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping and operational standards, including 5S, ISO, SQF, IMS, and other company requirements.
- Direct the workforce to execute production schedules established by Production Control.
- Provide strong leadership through effective communication and team engagement.
- Address and resolve personnel issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules for molding room equipment.
- Collaborate with the Tool Room to prioritize mold maintenance and repair activities.
- Work with other departments to resolve issues and support achievement of company objectives.
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
- Serve as backup for other Superintendents or Supervisors when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or working toward the degree
Experience
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Previous injection molding experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- SAP Knowledge. Excel knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing concepts and tools
- Prompt, reliable attendance is required
Non-Mandatory Job Qualifications
- Correcting and fixing paperwork issues.
- Working with outside vendors.
- Occasionally, working on the production floor with employees.
- Experience in Quality, Maintenance or other related field.
