2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Accountant I role is responsible for managing critical accounting functions including month-end close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance across subsidiaries. This position contributes by ensuring financial accuracy, audit readiness, and operational efficiency, directly impacting the organization's financial integrity and reporting reliability.
3. Responsibilities:
• Execute advanced month-end close procedures, including complex software capitalization, corporate allocations, debt structuring, accruals, and multi-subsidiary financial consolidation
• Research, analyze, and resolve technical accounting issues in strict compliance with US GAAP standards
• Prepare multi-currency elimination and consolidation journal entries while conducting comprehensive intercompany reconciliations and reporting
• Own the subsidiary accounting close process and coordinate timely international statutory filings with external partners
• Conduct granular general ledger analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and explaining monthly variances
• Manage gross margin-related month-end activities, including cost accruals and multi-layered revenue recognition verification
• Support corporate cash management strategies, including complex bank reconciliations and intercompany settlements
• Lead or assist with ad hoc financial reporting projects, maintaining full technical accountability for deliverables
• Support annual audit preparation and management reporting by delivering accurate, audit-ready schedules and workpapers
• Participate actively in team training sessions and contribute to operational accounting coverage plans
• Provide occasional cross-functional support to parallel accounting teams, such as Billing or Accounts Payable, during peak close windows
• Identify, design, and implement continuous process improvements and modern automation opportunities across the ledger
• Enhance accounting workflows systematically to maximize operational efficiency and support corporate scalability
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum of two (2) years of public accounting (external audit) experience is highly preferred
• At least two (2) years of progressive experience operating within a corporate accounting environment
• Deep foundational knowledge of US GAAP principles and full-cycle corporate accounting close mechanics
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex financial issues and implement robust technical solutions
• Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated adaptability to shifting priorities and rolling deadlines
• Sharp analytical capabilities tailored for comprehensive variance investigation and financial explanation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and heavy data manipulation) with experience handling large datasets
• Direct hands-on experience navigating Oracle Fusion or highly comparable enterprise ERP systems is preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for collaborating across global entities and corporate leadership
