ZB Financial Holdings is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the design, development, deployment of RPA, AI and machine learning solutions that enhance operational efficiency, enable intelligent automation and drive data lead decision making across ZBFH's financial services while maintaining security, scalability and regulatory compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop and deploy AI, machine learning and generative AI solutions that solve defined business problems, meet disaster recovery, business continuity requirements and deliver measurable value, in line with the enterprise architecture strategy.
- Build production applications on modern AI patterns, including large language model integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic and tool-using workflows, prompt and context engineering, and fine-tuning where it is justified.
- Identify, prioritise and translate automation and AI opportunities into an executable delivery roadmap.
- Analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies and implement AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that improve accuracy, speed, cost and customer experience.
- Integrate AI and automation solutions into core banking, insurance and enterprise systems without compromising reliability or operational continuity.
- Build the pipelines, monitoring, evaluation harnesses and retraining processes that keep models accurate, available, performant and cost-effective over time.
- Define and run rigorous testing and evaluation strategies covering accuracy, latency, cost, robustness and security validation before and after release.
- Identify and mitigate AI-specific technical risks, including model bias, hallucination, data leakage, prompt injection, security vulnerabilities and model or system failure.
- Apply and enforce architecture standards, AI development best practices and coding guidelines for continuous improvement.
- Ensure AI, RPA and system implementations comply with regulatory, data protection, internal governance and security requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend AI tools, models, frameworks and platforms, balancing performance, scalability, cost and manage related vendors and third-party services within delegated authority.
- Maintain clear documentation of models, automation workflows, integrations and processes to support supportability, auditability and compliance.
- Communicate technical concepts, AI capabilities and solution outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship and coaching to junior AI engineers, RPA developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or a related field — or equivalent demonstrable professional experience in software development and AI implementation.
- Robotic Process Automation certification (for example, UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate).
- Cloud platform certification (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) is ideal inclusive of Agile, SCRUM or ITIL certification.
- At least three years’ relevant experience in software engineering, AI/ML model development or Robotic Process Automation implementation.
- Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment is a distinct advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Python such as Pandas / Scikit-learn / PyTorch / TensorFlow, and working proficiency in at least one of Java, TypeScript or C#.
- Practical experience building applications on large language models: API integration, RAG pipelines, vector stores and embeddings, agent and tool-calling frameworks, structured outputs, and systematic evaluation.
- MLOps / LLMOps: CI/CD, version control, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), model and pipeline deployment, observability, drift detection and cost management.
- Data engineering skills: SQL, working with structured and unstructured data, preprocessing, and building reliable data pipelines for AI workloads.
- Hands-on experience with RPA platforms such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate.
