Through our proprietary Marketing Action Plan® framework, we craft connected marketing and sales systems designed to generate measurable revenue and sustainable long-term growth.

From websites and automation to content, paid media, sales enablement, and HubSpot Lifeline support, we help businesses navigate growth, AI-driven change, and digital transformation in a rapidly evolving landscape. Our fully remote team of experts partners with finance, construction, manufacturing, legal, SaaS, and professional services brands across the U.S. and beyond.

About the Role

The Marketing Strategist (HubSpot) is a senior, client-facing role that owns marketing strategy and results for a portfolio of clients, with particular ownership of our most HubSpot-intensive accounts. Like our other Marketing Strategists, you will be the primary point of contact for your clients, setting strategy across attracting traffic, converting leads, and nurturing them into customers, and leading the day-to-day work that delivers it.

What sets this role apart is depth on HubSpot. You also serve as the in-house technical authority on the platform, just as comfortable architecting and troubleshooting a portal as you are presenting strategy in a client meeting. If you have strong marketing strategy instincts, deep technical HubSpot expertise, and the proactive personality to keep clients moving, we want to talk.

What You’ll Own

Marketing Strategy & Client Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of marketing clients, owning the strategy, relationship, retention, and overall health of each account.
  • Understand each client’s business, goals, and challenges, and translate them into clear marketing strategy across inbound, content, paid media, email, CRM, and conversion optimization.
  • Contribute to Marketing Action Plans (MAPs) and present strategy confidently to clients during strategy sessions and QBRs.
  • Provide senior coverage and continuity for key accounts, including stepping in during team transitions and leaves.
  • Identify new project opportunities and partner with the sales team to upsell and expand accounts.

HubSpot Administration & Technical Build

Beyond strategy, this role carries genuine technical depth on HubSpot. You should be able to own a client’s portal end to end, not just use HubSpot but architect, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot it.

  • Administer and configure HubSpot portals (Marketing Hub, with working command of Sales, Service, and Data Hubs), including users, permissions, and account settings.
  • Design and build marketing automation: workflows, sequences, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and nurture programs.
  • Own data architecture and hygiene, including custom properties, custom objects, associations, list segmentation, deduplication, and import/export integrity.
  • Build and optimize landing pages, forms, CTAs, email templates, and the HubSpot CMS as needed.
  • Configure and maintain integrations between HubSpot and other platforms, including CRM syncs, ad accounts, webinar/event tools, and third-party apps via native connectors or API/middleware such as Data Hub or Zapier.
  • Build custom reports, dashboards, and attribution reporting that connect marketing activity to revenue and funnel outcomes.
  • Lead HubSpot onboarding, audits, migrations, and portal clean-ups for new and existing clients.
  • Act as an internal subject-matter expert, supporting teammates and clients with complex HubSpot questions and helping keep the team current as the platform evolves.

Delivery & Performance

  • Delegate work to the right specialists, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure the team hits deadlines and quality standards.
  • Track and report on performance across your accounts, building reporting that tells a clear story of what’s working, what isn’t, and where the opportunities are.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and adjust the plan and tactics accordingly.

Who You Are

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • 8+ years of digital marketing experience, with significant time in a client-facing account management or strategy role (agency experience strongly preferred).
  • Deep, demonstrable HubSpot expertise. You’ve administered portals, built complex automation, and solved real integration and data problems, not just managed campaigns inside one.
  • Active HubSpot certifications. Marketing Hub Software and Inbound are expected; Data Hub, Data Integrations, and Reporting certifications are a strong plus.
  • A proactive, leadership-oriented personality. You anticipate needs, take initiative without being asked, and set the standard for the accounts and the people around you.
  • Client-facing confidence. You can present a strategy to a C-suite and lead a tough account conversation without breaking a sweat.
  • The ability to fully self-manage. You take ownership, meet deadlines, and no one ever has to chase you.
  • Agility under pressure. You prioritize well, move fast when needed, and stay calm when a client moves the goalposts.
  • The ability to tell a story of success or opportunity using data from web, social, paid, and platform analytics.
  • Native English writing and verbal communication skills.

You’ll Thrive Here If:

  • You take ownership completely. People know that if it’s in your hands, it’s moving.
  • You are collaborative by default; specialists and fellow account managers can lean on you.
  • You stay calm when things get urgent, because they will. Last-minute requests and shifting priorities are part of the job, and you handle them.
  • You stay current on developments in HubSpot, marketing, and AI, and you bring what you learn back to the team.
  • You build systems and leave every process better than you found it.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in B2B industries like SaaS, manufacturing, financial services, or construction.
  • Advanced or specialty HubSpot certifications.
  • Experience leading HubSpot onboarding or platform migrations for multiple clients.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM integrations beyond HubSpot.
