Petroplan is recruiting an experienced Planning Manager to support the successful delivery of large-scale pipeline infrastructure project. This role is responsible for leading project planning and scheduling activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring integrated schedules are developed, maintained, and optimized from early planning through execution.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pipeline engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environments, with a strong understanding of project controls, schedule management, and linear infrastructure projects. This position may require occasional travel to project sites and contractor offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated project schedules from conceptual planning through project execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, project controls, and contractor teams to ensure schedule alignment across all project phases.
- Serve as the primary owner of project schedules, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timely updates.
- Utilize project schedules as a management, reporting, and communication tool to support project decision-making.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project milestones.
- Coordinate with EPC and EPCM contractors to integrate contractor schedules into the overall project execution plan.
- Support forecasting, progress measurement, schedule analysis, and reporting for project leadership and key stakeholders.
- Promote scheduling best practices, standard methodologies, and continuous process improvements across the project team.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of planning, scheduling, or project controls experience supporting large capital projects within the oil and gas, energy, or pipeline infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience with linear construction projects and pipeline development.
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and contractor management processes.
- Experience coordinating schedules across multidisciplinary project teams and EPC/EPCM organizations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate project status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and perform successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Experience using TILOS for linear infrastructure scheduling.
- Working knowledge of Acumen Fuse for schedule quality analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Visio.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
