Business Development Manager - Components

Responsibilities

  • Manage a growing $6M+ market and drive sales growth by expanding key OEM accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage strategic customer relationships across engineering, procurement, operations, and executive teams.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to support growth strategies.
  • Partner with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Supply Chain to deliver customer-focused solutions and new product opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, negotiate contracts, and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, pricing, and account strategies through CRM and data-driven analysis.
  • Travel up to 50% across North America to support customers, uncover opportunities, and strengthen key account relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, marketing or product management with track record of increasing responsibility
  • Experience in gears, valves, pneumatics, automation, robotics, power transmission, or related industrial markets is highly preferred
  • Ability to sell technical products and communicate effectively with both engineers and executive decision-makers
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and contract management skills
  • Experience in strategic, data-driven long-term growth
  • Engineering degree preferred in mechanical engineering, product/marketing management, technology or comparable knowledge and qualifications acquired in practice
