NEUMAN & ESSER-NEAC Compressor Service USA-Katy, TX is seeking for a Compressor Repair & Project Support to interface with the NEA GROUP Central Technology / R&D Department at headquarters in Germany and with other NEA GROUP affiliates to perform all local repair activities of the reciprocating compressor parts, scope of work development, quality assurance planning, and project management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Expert in repairing NEA GROUP reciprocating compressor product lines.
  • Technical resource for Outside/Inside Sales, Purchasing, Quality and Repair departments.
  • Must have skills to fix and repair the parts and provide detailed scope of work
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and interrelate very well with all types of people.
  • Must be willing to assemble equipment in the shop or field.
  • Detail oriented, responsible and accountable. The position requires accurate document control and technical report writing.
  • Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and manage projects and begins work or undertakes projects on their own initiative
  • Must know own limitations and not hesitate to ask for assistance when needed
  • Prior experience working with and directing machine and service shop activities is a big plus.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all activities.
  • Assist in management of workshop repairs, shop overhauls and part assembly
  • Works with Inside Sales and Outside Sales to develop quotations to customers
  • Communicates with Inside and Outside Customers regarding technical questions and repair status of parts
  • Performs parts inspection and development of inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  • Supplier evaluation and coordination, quality assurance, and other duties as required.
  • Write technical reports, manage materials/equipment for customer requested work scope, provide job status reports
  • Write clear reports to keep factory and field personnel accurately informed of job progress and to protect the company from liability and problems resulting from customer deviations from NEA Group standards.
  • Diligence always in protecting NEA Group intellectual property and consideration of commercial and warranty liabilities
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing/machining Drawings

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCES:

  • 10+ years in repair and technical knowledge and experience with reciprocating compressors
  • Refinery and/or petrochemical experience
  • Experience assembling, overhauling and operating mechanical equipment is a big advantage e.g. engines, compressors, gearboxes etc.
  • Be able to read detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer is advantageous

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Passport for international travel
  • Must be able to pass a background, drug check and physical exams for access to secure work areas as needed by customers

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CRM Dynamics and SharePoint is helpful

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

  • English read, write, and speak. Multilingual is a plus (Spanish)

WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE:

  • Onsite-Katy, TX
  • Monday-Friday (weekend as needed-not often)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Annual base salary range $90K to $100K depend on experiences plus annual discretionary bonus
