Description

The purpose of the role is to respond to and deliver communications and other company data in accordance with lawful demands by law enforcement and government agencies within specified timescales, utilising Sky systems in compliance with the provisions of relevant legislation and company policies and procedures. This includes the disclosures of data under variety of lawful obligations and implementation of Data Protection policy.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver lawful data disclosures to law enforcement and government agencies accurately, on time and in line with legislation and company policies.
  • Ensure all requests are managed in line with agreed service levels and contribute to a consistent professional service deliver.
  • Maintain complete and accurate audit trails of all disclosures using approved systems and processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to external agencies on Sky products, services and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, products and services and assess their impact on disclosure practices.
  • Support the effective running of the unit through administrative duties and, where required, represent the business through witness statement or court attendance.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of Data Retention and Lw Enforcement obligations for communications services providers, including IPA 2016, Data Protection Act and GDPR.
  • Experience handling sensitive or personal data with high levels of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience in a role involving communication and interaction with customers, including senior personnel and law enforcement showing ability to communicate effectively (listening, written and verbally) at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure managing competing priorities and meet tight deadlines, showing flexibility throughout.
  • Proactive and self motivated with a desire for continuous improvement.

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding or knowledge of Sky’s products and services
  • Understanding the UK legal system, particularly regarding disclosure of data.
  • Experience in learning new procedures within a team and adapting to a changing environment
