PURPOSE
Support the Enterprise Architect in mapping current-state (AS-IS) business processes by documenting operational practices through engagement with site teams and identifying functional pain points, process inefficiencies, and areas requiring manual data re-entry.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Business needs clarification Gather requirements from business units and sites through structured interviews. Reformulate and document needs in a clear, precise and actionable way. Identify the functional scope, stakeholders and measurable objectives. Define what is in scope and what is explicitly out of scope.
• Requirements formalization Draft functional scoping notes for incoming requests. Produce lightweight functional specifications for validated projects. Write simple user stories and acceptance criteria. Document AS-IS business processes where no formal documentation exists.
• Project cycle support Participate in scoping workshops with business and IT stakeholders. Provide functional support during the execution phase. Contribute to the preparation and coordination of UAT user testing. Maintain and update the functional backlog when changes occur.
• Contribution to AS-IS mapping Support the Enterprise Architect in mapping existing business processes. Document field practices gathered during exchanges with operational sites. Identify functional pain points and manual re-entry areas.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
• Final year of master’s degree — Business school, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
Skills and relevant experience:
• Strong listening and reformulation abilities
• Rigorous written communication
• Curiosity for business processes and information systems
• Interpersonal ease to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken
Nice to have:
• First experience or coursework in functional analysis
• Familiarity with an ITSM or project management tool
• Interest in industrial or mining environments
