Are you a practical, organised marketing professional who enjoys bringing retail campaigns to life across multiple channels?
This Marketing Category Specialist role will support our "Home" category for Harris Scarfe, helping deliver campaigns that drive sales, customer engagement and strong category execution. Working closely with buying, merchandise, studio, production and media teams, you'll help deliver integrated marketing campaigns that drive sales, customer engagement and category performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Campaign management:
- Develop and manage end-to-end marketing campaigns across key home categories, including Manchester, Homewares, Kitchen, Electrical and seasonal programs.
- Partner with buying and merchandise teams to understand product priorities, promotional offers, margin considerations and key trading periods.
- Support campaign planning and execution for major retail events including New Season, Christmas, Black Friday and Boxing Day.
- Coordinate campaign activity across TV, screens, catalogue, EDM, website, social, paid media and POS.
- Brief and action TV/screens, ensuring campaign messaging, asset specifications, timings and delivery are aligned to the broader campaign plan.
- Manage campaign asset production, including creative shoots, ensuring seamless delivery from concept through to execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying, merchandise, studio, production, media and finance to deliver campaigns on time and on brief.
- Ensure campaigns deliver against commercial objectives, customer outcomes and brand standards.
- Analyse campaign performance, trading results and customer response to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.

- Commercial mindset with an understanding of retail trading and promotions.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to translate category priorities and commercial objectives into clear, customer-focused marketing campaigns.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong proofing and quality control skills across catalogue, EDM, website, social and promotional assets.
- Strong attention to detail across pricing, promotional offers, disclaimers and campaign deadlines.
Qualifications of Candidate
- Relevant tertiary education in Marketing, Communications or related field is desirable
- A minimum of 2-3 years of marketing or related experience
- Retail/agency experience advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to take ownership of campaigns and manage competing priorities
- Strong project management, planning & organisation skills
- Experience working with catalogues, promotional campaigns or high-volume retail marketing activity is advantageous.
