Payments Business Analyst (Fedwire) | 6 Month Contract (Minimum)
We are hiring a Payments BA for a fast-growing payments platform provider. This is an initial 6 month contract with strong likelihood of extension as the product team expands.
You will sit within the product team working across payment rails, platform products and APIs. The split is roughly 80% internal product work and 20% client-facing.
What you will do:
- Write requirements, BRDs, FRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria for payments products
- Work hands-on with engineering and QA through the full SDLC
- Support product maintenance, roadmap enhancements and client requirements
- Join client and implementation calls as needed
What you need:
- 10 to 12 years as a BA in payments
- Hands-on Fedwire implementation experience. This is essential
- Hands-on ISO 20022 mapping and message spec work
- RTP and FedNow experience is a strong advantage; SWIFT a plus
- Background at a payments platform, payment hub or fintech vendor strongly preferred over bank-side only
- Able to explain rail workflows in depth, not just the terminology
Important:
- This is a BA role within a product team, not a strategic product owner position. If your recent experience is roadmap strategy with teams reporting to you, this will not be the right fit
- On-site in Charlotte is the preference. Exceptional candidates travelling in regularly will be considered
- Individual contributor role with a clear path to grow as the team scales
