Position Title: Coin Designer / Vector Artist

IMPORTANT:

• This is not a traditional graphic design job. We design custom challenge coins and metal products.
• This role is not designing logos, social media graphics, marketing layouts, or branding packages.
• Your job will be to design coins and coin artwork only.
• We are looking for vector illustrators who can design artwork for physical products.

Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory)

A portfolio is required. Your portfolio must include vector artwork created in Adobe Illustrator.

Examples of work we want to see:

• Vector illustration

• Badge / emblem style artwork

• Military / police style designs

• Product artwork

• Patch / coin / pin style designs

• Clean vector line work

Applicants who submit portfolios only consisting of branding design, posters, social media graphics, marketing or website layouts will not be considered.

Software & Skills

Required:

• Adobe Illustrator - Vector Creation, majority is using the Pen tool and various Illustrator tools.

• Adobe Photoshop - Strong Photo Editing and manipulation skills, must have ability to clean up images, clone stamp, add details, isolate elements, etc.

• Strong vector illustration ability along with expert use of the Pen Tool and other helpful tools

• Creativity. We can teach anyone how to draw coins, but creativity is high priority.

Preferred but not required:

• 3D sculpting programs

• Experience designing challenge coins, patches, lapel pins, or other physical products

• Experience with product manufacturing artwork

Job Description

Elite Custom Coins designs custom challenge coins and metal products for customers and organizations globally. This position focuses specifically on designing custom coins. We are looking for a vector artist / coin designer who can transform customer ideas, sketches, and reference images into clean, production-ready vector artwork. You will receive quote requests and customer references and convert them into vector coin designs and proofs to sell.

What You'll Do

• Design custom challenge coins using Adobe Illustrator

• Convert customer images and sketches into clean vector artwork

• Revise artwork based on customer feedback

• Ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements for metal coins

Your daily work will consist primarily of:

• Vector illustration

• Cleaning up and preparing artwork for production

• Creating and revising customer proofs

Compensation

• Contractor position (1099-NEC)

• Starting pay up to $20/hour

This is a fully remote role. We are an online company and do not have an office location. You will work 100% from home.
