Cloud Automation Engineer

For one of our clients, a rapidly growing ClimateTech scale-up based in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer to help build the cloud platform powering intelligent energy optimisation, carbon management, and smart infrastructure solutions used by organisations across Europe.
You'll work alongside platform engineers, software developers, and data teams to automate cloud infrastructure, improve developer productivity, and ensure highly available, secure, and scalable systems that support business-critical climate technologies.
What You'll Be Working On
• Automating cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps principles
• Designing and maintaining highly available Kubernetes-based production environments
• Building scalable CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid and reliable software delivery
• Developing automation tools that improve platform reliability and engineering productivity
• Collaborating with software engineers to optimise deployment workflows and cloud architecture
• Monitoring platform performance, availability, and operational health
• Supporting cloud security, resilience, and disaster recovery initiatives across the platform
Experience Required
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience managing Kubernetes in production environments
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills
• Experience implementing GitOps workflows and modern CI/CD practices
Nice to Have
• ArgoCD or FluxCD experience
• Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry observability platforms
• Linux systems administration
• Cloud networking and security best practices
• FinOps and cloud cost optimisation experience
• Experience supporting renewable energy, IoT, or smart infrastructure platforms
