For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer Banking to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale backend systems for secure money movement
- Architect clean, extensible abstractions for complex payments infrastructure
- Develop systems that integrate both traditional banking and emerging cryptocurrency payment methods
- Interface with various third-party banking and payments partners to speed up feature delivery
- Own problems end-to-end, from architecture to production reliability and partner integrations
- Bring meticulous attention to detail to financial systems where accuracy is crucial
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in high-scale production environments
- Strong systems design skills with the ability to create maintainable solutions from ambiguous requirements
- Experience with distributed systems and production reliability
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and solve problems independently
- Builder mentality with a focus on owning outcomes rather than just completing tasks
