For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer Backend to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $193,000 – $309,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Kotlin backend services for device management
- Lead development of the company’s next-gen software and applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product roadmap
- Create technical requirements and detailed designs for software systems
- Estimate project efforts and facilitate planning sessions
- Diagnose and optimize performance issues
- Set software quality standards with modern testing practices
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing robust backend services
- Proficient in modern programming languages like Java or Kotlin
- Demonstrated technical leadership and cross-team alignment skills
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
- Knowledge of backend application lifecycle management best practices
- Experience with React for developing single-page frontends
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts
