SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: Support IT cabling design and solutions to align with Corning’s technology standards and meet the connectivity needs of our businesses.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform design, deployment, execution and operational support of IT cabling environments. For these services the candidate will needs:

  • Install, terminate, and test network cabling systems, including CAT6, CAT6a, and fiber optic cables.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues related to cabling.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing network cabling systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Document network layouts, hardware types, and wiring connections for future reference.
  • Provide training and support to end-users as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Experience

  • 5+ years in the enterprise or telecommunications industry, managing large-scale cabling installations or supervising teams.

Required Skills

  • Understanding of technical diagrams, floor plans, and network blueprints.
  • Expertise with advanced fiber optics, including splicing and testing equipment included OTDR and Fluke tester
  • Understanding of Corning Cabling System Product spec to develop the BOM list according business requirement
  • Understanding of network architecture, TCP/IP protocol and structured cabling plans.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar facility design of computer room included A/C, Fire Extinguisher and Electric Power System
  • Familiar CAD design and able to modify the drawing information, perform project requirement according to the design map of building layout DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience coordinating or supervising cabling projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and customer effectively.
  • Providing clear technical explanations to non-technical users.
  • Flexibility to work with various environments, including production, office or equivalent area TRAVEL:
  • Up to 25% travel required, generally in Asia.
