Job Description

Responsibilities for External Candidates  

  • Strong experience in developing enterprise web applications.
  • Expertise on the Microsoft technology stack (ASP.NET MVC 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5, Web API, SQL Server).
  • Good knowledge of Client side scripting – JavaScript and JQuery, Kendo.
  • Knowledge of design patterns is required.
  • Ability to deliver software and artefacts independently.
  • Ability to mentor technical teams and evaluate software artefacts.
  • Ability to communicate with technical experts as well as functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with non-functional requirements like performance, scalability and security.
  • Ability to propose solutions for design and architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex software troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in Product Engineering is desirable.
  • Exposure to Windows Azure is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Architecture & System Design

  • Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems for enterprise applications
  • Define architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across modules
  • Ensure system design aligns with performance, security, and scalability requirements

Technical Leadership

  • Guide teams on architecture principles, coding standards, and design decisions
  • Conduct design and architecture reviews to ensure quality and consistency
  • Mentor engineers on system design and technical problem-solving

Modern Engineering (Added for current market)

  • Drive implementation of microservices and cloud-native architectures
  • Enable adoption of AI-assisted development workflows (Copilot, prompt-based design)
  • Support integration of AI/ML components into application workflows

Platform & Performance

  • Identify and resolve system bottlenecks and architectural issues
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of applications
  • Contribute to observability and monitoring strategies

DevOps & Cloud

  • Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for efficient development and deployment
  • Work closely on cloud architecture (Azure preferred)
  • Drive containerization and deployment best practices

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive delivery and alignment

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10–12 years of software development experience with hands-on design ownership
  • 2–4 years of experience in architecture or system design roles
  • Experience working in enterprise SaaS / product engineering setups

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in .NET, C#, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Solid understanding of system design, design patterns, and distributed systems
  • Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and performance tuning

Modern Stack (Market aligned)

  • Experience with:
  • Microservices & event-driven architectures
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Observability tools (App Insights, Grafana, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI integration in applications

Engineering Practices

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation
  • Strong understanding of secure coding and reliability practices

Soft Skills

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to influence design decisions and drive alignment
  • Ownership mindset with focus on execution
