Job Description – Project Accountant (Site Office)

Position: Project Accountant

Location: Delhi

Experience: 3–6 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage day-to-day financial and administrative activities at the project site. The ideal candidate should have experience in site accounting, invoice processing, attendance management, vendor coordination, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily project accounts and financial records.
  • Process vendor invoices and coordinate with the finance team for timely payments.
  • Manage employee attendance, timesheets, and leave records at the site.
  • Prepare and maintain petty cash, expense reports, and reimbursement records.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders for billing and documentation.
  • Support payroll inputs by maintaining accurate attendance and overtime records.
  • Maintain project-related documents, invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial and administrative reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Required Skills

  • Experience in project/site accounting.
  • Knowledge of invoice processing, billing, and petty cash management.
  • Experience in attendance and timesheet management.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Workday or similar) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance. M.Com/MBA (Finance) is an advantage.
  • 3–6 years of experience in project accounting or site administration, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects.
