Role Description

We are seeking a hands-on Medical/Healthcare Claims Billing Manager to become the first dedicated billing hire at RxDiet and lead our billing function as we grow. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely submission of claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers, monitoring claim status, resolving denials and rejections, and ensuring compliance with payer-specific billing requirements. You will also build out and lead the billing team, establishing processes, documentation, and best practices where none currently exist, while hiring, training, and managing billing staff as the function scales. This is an opportunity to make a big impact on a small team by ensuring billing accuracy, maximizing clean claim rates, and building the foundation of RxDiet's revenue cycle operations and team.

This full-time remote role is in the United States. You must be living in the United States. At this time, we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare claims billing, including 3 years of prior experience managing or leading a billing team
• Direct experience submitting and managing claims for Medicaid and Medicare is required.
• Strong working knowledge of claims submission systems, clearinghouses, and payer portals
• Familiarity with CMS, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, and payer-specific billing guidelines
• Experience identifying and resolving claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Proven ability to hire, train, and manage billing staff, with strong people-leadership and coaching skills
• Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-starter with a can-do attitude and startup mindset, comfortable building both processes and a team from scratch as the first billing hire on the team

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000
