Esurgi is looking for a motivated and self-driven Grant Writer Intern from July 2026 to January 2027. The Grant Writer Intern at Esurgi will be in charge of researching and writing grants for Esurgi’s products as they get ready to hit the market. This is an unpaid internship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to find potential sources of grants for Esurgi
- Participate in writing up the selected grant proposals
- Preliminary study for ADRD research
- Conduct market research and summarize data
- Plan and conduct grant writer training programs and meetings
- Conduct literature research in neurological disorders to find gaps and needed innovations
- Outreach medical consultants
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior experience in grant writing, proposal writing or research/project writing in healthcare
- Pursuing or have a four-year degree in healthcare, neuroscience, biology, biotechnology, finance, business administration, or any related field
- Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Strong writing, and research skills
- Comfortable conducting literature reviews using GoogleScholar and PubMed
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to work remotely, independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge of grants and grant development
- Previous experience in proposal writing
- Scientific literature research skills
- Familiarity with research methodology
- Organized and able to adhere to multiple deadlines simultaneously
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Relevant coursework in life sciences

About our Internships: An archetypical internship at Esurgi is essentially a special project in the work setting. The interns will be assigned a mentor with an executive background. The intern and the mentor will develop an internship plan. This will be based on the intern educational background, career goals, and realistic (preferably interdisciplinary / team) projects within the Esurgi sphere. The plan includes objectives, success factors, and deliverables. The intern and mentor will meet regularly to review the progress and plan of the intern.
