Position: Music Expert — AI Evaluation & Annotation (Generative Music)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $30–$65/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated music by labeling preferences between tracks based on dimensions like faithfulness, audio fidelity, and musicality.
- Write schema-consistent music captions detailing genre, style, instrumentation, structure, key, tempo, and production era.
- Align lyrics by marking start/end timings, correcting transcripts, and flagging pronunciation issues.
- Collaborate asynchronously and independently to transform subjective musical quality into actionable data.
- Participate in short calibration sessions (Rubric Academy) before staffing.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Trained musician with strong critical listening skills across multiple genres and languages.
- Ability to articulate whether outputs are faithful, well-produced, and on-spec.
- Comfort with applying structured rubrics and writing clear justifications.
Preferred
- Experience in production/mixing, formal music theory, or multilingual lyric fluency.
